Unionized Easyjet cabin crew have announced industrial action across Portugal for May 26-June 3. The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SPNVAC) announced the strike in support of improved wages and working conditions. The industrial action is planned for alternate days, May 26, 28, 30, and June 1 and 3. However, flights will be likely impacted throughout the period. Easyjet has canceled several hundred flights. In accordance with Portuguese regulations, Easyjet must provide a minimum service to certain destinations including Madeira.

The strike will cause cancellations, delays and disruptions to flight schedules. The impact may continue in the hours following the strike, as aircraft and crews are repositioned and services return to normal.
