Authorities continue to respond to a mass shooting incident that reportedly occurred across at least two villages in Mladenovac and Smederevo municipalities in Serbia as of early May 5. Reports indicate that an assailant fired at people using an automatic rifle from a car, killing at least eight and wounding around 13 others in Dubona and Malo Orasje; the official toll could rise further in the coming hours. The suspect remains at large, and authorities have deployed significant police presence to the affected areas and surrounding villages to search for the shooter. Security forces believe the assailant may be hiding in Sepsin, where there are unconfirmed reports of additional shootings.
