Members of the South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union (SACCWU), affiliated to the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), have announced they will march through Sandton, Johannesburg, on May 26 to deliver a memorandum of demands to the US Consulate and the head offices of a large retail chain. Protestors will reportedly gather at George Lea Park from 09:00 and march down Fredman Drive before returning back to George Lea Park through Sandton Drive. Authorities will deploy to monitor the protest.
