Austria: Fire affecting train in Terfen tunnel near Fritzens, late June 7

A fire broke out in the Terfen railway tunnel, near Fritzens, the evening of June 7 after a car on a traveling train caught fire due to damage to an overhead line. Emergency services evacuated at least 151 passengers onboard the train; at least 33 people were injured in the incident.

Disruptions to train services to Hamburg and Amsterdam are possible in the coming hours as authorities clear the site.
