Warning

Event

Several activist, political, and labor groups plan to stage rallies in cities across Colombia on June 7. The purpose of the action is to show support for reforms implemented by the administration of President Gustavo Petro. The main demonstration will take place in Bogota, where activists will gather at Parque Nacional starting at 09:00 before marching to Plaza de Bolivar. Organizers have released no information concerning the specific march route; however, the demonstration will probably pass in front of multiple government buildings, including Congress. Thousands of participants could attend the event in Bogota.

Organizers are also calling for related gatherings to take place in other cities around the country, including Medellin, Cali, and Barranquilla, although no specific locations or start times have as yet been announced. Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near any demonstrations that may materialize.
