Firefighters are working to contain and extinguish a large fire at the Pioneer Pallet Brokerage Company on 3526 Nicholson Ave in the Northeast Industrial District of Kansas City, Missouri, June 15. More than 150 firefighters work in the area. Reports indicate at least one firefighter has been injured in the blaze. Officials have evacuated nearby buildings and expect to continue working for several hours before fully containing the fire.

Significant transport and business disruptions in the area are likely until at least late June 15.
