A magnitude-5.6 offshore earthquake occurred near India's Andaman Islands at around 00:53 July 29. The epicenter was about 150 km (93 miles) south-southeast of Port Blair, India. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 87 km (54 miles), and light shaking was probably felt in parts of the Andaman Islands.
