Authorities have confirmed the death of six people aboard a Manang Air passenger helicopter 9N-AMV the afternoon of July 11. The aircraft lost contact with air traffic control around 10:12, shortly following its departure from Koshi Province's Tenzing-Hillary Airport (LUA) for Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). The helicopter wreckage was found near Lamjura Pass. Five Mexican tourists and one local pilot were on board the aircraft.
