Authorities plan to dispose of an unexploded WWII-era bomb in Nova Gorica starting at 10:00 July 23. The device is located several meters from the tracks of the Transalpina Railway Station. A mandatory evacuation zone extending for a radius of 400 meters (437 yards) around the operation site and a shelter-in-place zone extending an additional 200 meters (219 yards) beyond the evacuation area will be imposed starting at 07:00. Although technicians expect to finish their work by 13:00, the disposal operation could extend beyond the planned completion time.

Road closures and localized traffic disruptions are probable within the affected area until disposal technicians complete their work, as are rail service disruptions at the Transalpina Railway Station.
