Residual rail disruptions are likely in Zurich following a train fire at Altstetten station during the evening of July 6. Emergency services are deployed, and the fire is extinguished. Reports indicate that authorities initially blocked two tracks but were forced to shut power to overhead lines to the entire station. Officials did not give an estimate as to when rail services will normalize.

Disruptions are reported on Lines IR36, S5, S11, S12, S14, S19, and S20. Officials have provided replacement buses for passengers traveling between Schlieren, Bahnhof, and Birmensdorf ZH, Bahnhof.

Rail cancelation and delays are almost certain over the coming hours.
