Emergency services are responding to an explosion in Lebring on Aug. 8. According to local authorities, the blast was caused by a hydrogen leak on an industrial park at around 13:00. Initial reports indicate that the blast occurred at the Hyptec company. One casualty has been taken to hospital. The A9 motorway has been closed to all traffic in both directions between the Leibnitz and Wildon exits.

Emergency services are likely to remain on the scene in the coming hours. Localized ground travel delays and other disruptions are likely.
