Unionized students with the Federation of Students of the University of Costa Rica (Federacion de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Costa Rica, FEUCR) are planning a demonstration march through San Jose Aug. 22 to press for the preservation of higher education funding. The demonstrators will leave the City University, Rodrigo Facio campus of the University of Costa Rica, at 09:00 to march to the Presidential Palace for a rally.
Heightened security, as well as localized transit and business disruptions, are likely in the affected area during the demonstration.
