All rail services between Ipswich and Manningtree are suspended after a tree fell on the railway line on Aug. 15. Rail services between Ipswitch and Cambridge, Felixstowe, Harwich International, Lowestoft, and Peterborough are suffering knock-on disruptions. The line closure is also causing disruptions in services between Ipswich, Norwich, and London. Rail authorities are unclear when the line will reopen; a replacement bus service will only be available around 20:00.

Authorities have requested the public refrain from non-essential train travel in the affected area. Route changes will stay in place until authorities give the all-clear. Rail disruptions may persist for several hours after crews complete their work.
