Event

Unionized ground staff and baggage handlers represented by the Unite labor union have canceled all strikes originally planned for Aug. 4-8 at London Gatwick Airport (LGW). The move comes after employees of all four of the ground-handling companies participating in the labor action accepted increased pay offers from management. Employees of Gatwick Ground Services (GGS), which provides ground handling support to British Airways (BA), were the last group to approve the deal, announcing on Aug. 2 that they also would cancel their scheduled walkout.
