Emergency personnel are responding to a large structure fire in the Saint-Julien District of Rouen as of early Oct. 1. The fire reportedly began at an apartment on the first floor of the Glass and Steel building earlier in the evening on Sept. 30. The cause of the blaze is currently unknown, and there have yet to be any reports of casualties. More than 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines are mobilized to bring the fire under control. Authorities have a security perimeter and ask the public to avoid the area.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely over the coming hours as the emergency response continues. Lingering disruptions are possible even after response operations conclude as authorities investigate the blaze.
