Poland: Major demonstration planned in Warsaw Oct. 1
Civic Coalition party to lead demonstration in Warsaw, Poland, Oct. 1. Increased security, localized disruptions likely.

The leader of the Civic Coalition (KO) party, Donald Tusk, has called for a major demonstration in Warsaw dubbed the "Million Hearts March" on Oct. 1. Precedent suggests several hundred thousand people could attend the event. Participants will gather at Rondo Romana Dmowskiego around 12:00 before marching to Rondo Radoslaw. The march route includes Marszalkowska Street, Swietokrzyska Street, and Jana Pawla II Avenue.
