Informational

Event

Unionized public sector employees plan to stage a protest march in central Warsaw on Sept. 15 to call for higher wages. Participants will gather at the parking lot of the Palace of Culture and Science at 10:30 before departing from Roman Dmowski roundabout (Rondo Romana Dmowskiego) at 12:00 for the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. March participants will make a stop at the Sejm (parliament) at 13:00 before continuing to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister where a rally will take place at 14:00. Organizers estimate 3,000-4,000 participants may attend.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions may linger through the evening. Though unlikely, isolated confrontations between demonstrators and police cannot be ruled out.
