PT: Further clashes possible in northern West Bank following Israeli raid in Jenin late Sept. 19

Further violence is possible in parts of the northern West Bank over the coming days following a late Sept. 19 raid against the Jenin Refugee Camp by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Armed clashes broke out when IDF personnel entered the camp and raided the house of Muhammad Abu al-Baha, leader of Jenin's Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. At least two people were killed and about 30 injured in the ensuing exchanges of gunfire.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain a very tight security posture in northern areas of the West Bank and nearby parts of Israel into at least late September.

Avoid the affected area and exercise heightened vigilance if operating in or near the northern West Bank. Remain courteous and cooperative if approached and questioned by military or law enforcement personnel. Strictly heed the instructions of local authorities.
