Austria: Education workers to protest in Vienna Oct. 24

Unionized kindergarten workers plan to demonstrate in Vienna Oct. 24 to demand better working conditions. Protesters will gather at Sigmund Freud Park at 08:30 before marching from Votikvpark at 11:00. Demonstrators will march through the city center before returning to Votikbpark. Organizers expect up to 10,000 people to participate in the action.

Heightened security, as well as localized transport and business disruptions, are likely near the demonstration sites and march routes. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out.
