Further violence remains possible over the coming days in Benghazi's Salmani area following clashes Oct. 6. The clashes were reportedly triggered when members of the self-styled Libyan National Army (LNA) attempted to arrest Mahdi Al-Barghathi, the former defense minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA). Internet and communications disruptions were reported following the clash.

Heightened security, business, utility, and transport disruptions, as well as further clashes, are possible in the area over the coming days.
