Pro-Ukrainian activists will demonstrate at the Russian Embassy, Budapest, Nov. 11. Groups including NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization, an online organization dedicated to countering Russian propaganda) will gather from 18:00. It is possible that several hundred will participate in the event.
Authorities will likely deploy additional security measures, given the sensitivity of the Russian Embassy. Heightened security and localized transportation disruptions are likely in the vicinity and may linger for several hours after the end of the event. Though unlikely, skirmishes between demonstrators and any potential counter-protesters cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling in central Budapest. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
