Feminist activists from various organizations plan to demonstrate in multiple cities throughout Mexico on Nov. 25. The action aims to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Turnout will likely be largest in urban centers, especially Mexico City; up to a few thousand individuals could attend the demonstrations. Confirmed gatherings include the following locations:

  • Mexico City: Glorieta de las Mujeres Que Luchan at 12:00 before marching towards the Zocalo; Angel de la Independencia at 15:00 before marching towards the Zocalo.

  • Monterrey: Macroplaza from 14:00-16:00.

  • Puebla: Zocalo from 16:00-18:00.

  • Queretaro City: Plaza Constitucion from15:00-17:00.

  • Tijuana: Avenida Revolucion, Zona Centro, from 15:00 before marching towards Piedra Santa Restaurant at 17:00.

  • Zacatecas: Plaza Bicentenario at 15:00 before marching towards Plaza de las Armas.

Additional protests are possible in other urban areas throughout Mexico. Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near rally sites. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or ignore police orders to disperse.

Avoid the protests as a precaution. Allow additional time to reach destinations if operating near impacted areas. Seek alternate routes to circumvent any related transport disruptions. Leave the area at the sign of any security disturbances that may materialize. Heed the instructions of authorities.
