Turkiye: Flight disruptions likely to continue on Turkish Airlines and Anadolu Jet flights through at least Nov. 2

Flight disruptions likely in Turkiye, primarily on Turkish Airlines and Anadolu Jet flights serving Istanbul, through at least Nov. 2.

Warning

Flight disruptions are likely on Turkish Airlines (TK) and its low-cost subsidiary AnadoluJet through at least Nov. 2. The carriers canceled at least 100 of their domestic and international flights primarily serving Istanbul Airport (IST) and that city's Sabiha Gokcen International (SAW) during the evening of Nov. 1 following a computer malfunction that impacted ticketing and reservation systems. Although Turkish Airlines technicians resolved the issue by about 01:00 Nov. 2. Lingering delays and possible trickle-down impacts to other carriers' flights could extend for several hours after operations return to normal as airlines work to clear their passenger backlogs and reposition aircraft.

Contact air carrier to reconfirm flights, especially if flying via Istanbul, through at least Nov. 2. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
