Warning

Officials in Iran are responding to a reported cyberattack that has targeted the country's fuel stations since early Dec. 18. The attack has reportedly disrupted services at nearly 70 percent of Iran's fuel stations. Officials initially attributed the disruption to a "software problem." However, the country's Oil Ministry later blamed Predatory Sparrow for the attack. Predatory Sparrow is a hacking group which is allegedly linked to the Israeli government.

Further disruptions to public infrastructure and utilities remain possible.

Prepare for disruptions to fuel, transport, public utilities, and telecommunications. Adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities and your home government.
