Unidentified assailants kill 11 civilians in Bankilare Commune, Niger, Dec. 29.
Unidentified assailants attacked the villages of Amara and Loudji in Bankilare Commune, Tillaberi Region, Dec. 29. The attack left at least 11 civilians dead. Officials launched an operation in the impacted area following the attack.
Authorities could impose enhanced security measures, including movement restrictions, vehicle checks, curfews, and/or bans on public gatherings. Further armed attacks and clashes are possible.
