Taxi drivers affiliated with the National Taxi Federation (Federacion Nacional de Taxis) launched protests in the cities of Neuquen and Cordoba on Jan. 29. In Neuquen, protesters are gathering mainly at the intersection of avenues Argentina and Julio Argentino Roca; significant traffic disruptions are being reported in central Neuquen due to the protest. In Cordoba, participants are slowly driving around the Centro Civico area and will later drive towards Palacio Municipal. Participants are denouncing the government's alleged lack of enforcement of a law that bans rideshare companies.

Significant transport disruptions are likely in central areas of cities affected through the morning and early afternoon of Jan. 29. Business disruptions are likely. Taxi drivers may also gather in other cities in Argentina to make similar demands on Jan. 29.
