Hungary: Activists to demonstrate in Budapest Feb. 2
Activists to protest at Police Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, 17:00-19:00 Feb. 2. Heightened security likely; clashes possible.
Activists plan to protest at the Budapest Police Headquarters (Budapesti Rendor-fokapitanysag, 4-6 Teve utca) from 17:00-19:00 Feb. 2. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce authorities' banning of pro-Palestine protests. It is unclear how many participants may attend.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are almost certain near the demonstration site. Low-level clashes between protesters and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the Budapest Police Headquarters. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
