Environment activists plan to stage a protest march in Madrid, Jan. 21. Local groups will call for the closure of a refuse incinerator. Attendees will gather at La Gavia metro station at 11:30, and march to the Valdemingomez incinerator, around 5 km (3 miles) to the southeast. The exact march route is not known. It is likely that several hundred protesters will take part, based on previous events.
