Opposition political groups plan to demonstrate in Ankara, Jan. 14. The leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) will lead the rally, which will call for "Respect for the Constitution". The event will start at 13:00 in Tandogan Square. Political activists and civil society groups are likely to take part; attendance may reach low thousands of participants, based on previous events.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are possible near the demonstration site. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between protestors and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the demonstration as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near Tandogan Square Jan. 14. Heed instructions from authorities. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
