Informational

The Free Poles (Wolnych Polakow) activist movement plan to demonstrate at the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, from 13:00 Feb. 10. The protesters will denounce the policies of the new government coalition. The Free Poles are aligned with the PiS political party; several hundred to the low thousands of people will likely attend, based on previous events.

Security personnel will likely deploy to monitor the event. During the protest, some road travel and access disruptions are possible in the area. The event is likely to pass off peacefully.

Exercise caution near the protest site on Feb. 10. Heed the instructions of officials. Plan for possible road travel disruptions in the area. Reconfirm appointments at nearby businesses.

The PiS Party was the governing party in Poland from 2015-2023. Following the October 2023 elections, the PiS Party gained the most votes but failed to form a government and ceded power to a coalition of other parties.

The previous demonstration by the Free Poles group, in Warsaw on Jan. 11, attracted several hundred protesters.
