Spain: Farmers are protesting in Madrid, on Feb. 26

Farmers are holding a go-slow protest in agricultural vehicles in Madrid as of early afternoon on Feb. 26. The convoy is proceeding from Arganda Del Rey, southeast of Madrid, to the European Parliament on Paseo de la Castellana in the city center. Affected roads include the M-208, M-203, and M-23 highways, Pirotecnica Street, Aurora Boreal Street, Avenida de la Democracia, Plaza Alonso, Casalarreina Street, Avenida de Daroca, O'Donnell Street, Menendez Pelayo Street, and Paseo de la Infanta Isabel. A rally will be held outside the Ministry of Agriculture on Paseo de la Infanta Isabel around 15:00 before farmers continue on to the European Parliament. Participants will return along a similar route following the rally outside the European Parliament, concluding in Arganda Del Rey. Police advise against using private vehicles in Madrid on Feb. 26.
