Turkiye: Political activists to demonstrate in Manisa Feb. 4
Nationalist Movement Party to rally in Manisa, Turkiye, Feb. 4. Heightened security likely; confrontations possible.
Activists affiliated with the Nationalist Movement Party plan to hold a rally at Republic Square (Cumhuriyet Meydani) in Manisa from 14:00 Feb. 4; Nationalist Movement Party leader Devlet Bahceli will attend. It is unclear how many participants may attend the event.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are almost certain near the rally site. Confrontations, including clashes, between attendees and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the impacted area on Feb. 4. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
