Flight disruptions are occurring at Orlando International Airport (MCO) during the evening of Feb. 17 due to low cloud ceilings. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a ground delay program for departing flights until at least 00:59 Feb. 18, with delays averaging 116 minutes. Air traffic control measures could be extended or rescinded on short notice.

The FAA may issue additional ground stops and/or ground delays in Florida over the coming hours. Flight cancelations are possible if the ground delay becomes protracted.

Contact airline to confirm flight status if scheduled to fly via MCO into at least early Feb. 18; do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
