Local authorities announced heightened security measures in the city to facilitate the summit. Security forces will implement a safety zone around EU institutions in central Brussels; access will be restricted to personnel with a special pass and identity card. Traffic, vehicle parking, and business deliveries will be restricted in certain zones. Public transport will be disrupted, as bus lines will be diverted.
