Protesting students near the Higher Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning (ISAU) in Kinshasa clashed with police officers on the morning of March 28. Demonstrators are blocking Avenue de la Liberation (formerly Avenue du 24 Novembre) to denounce an increase in academic fees. There are some reports of security forces using live ammunition to disperse the crowd.

Increased security is likely in the impacted area, especially near ISAU. Localized road and public transportation disruptions are likely near the protest location. Further clashes are possible over the coming hours.
