Members of the Democratic Alliance of Workers of Dakar Dem Dikk (DDD) union have suspended their strike in Dakar April 29. The national transport provider announced that the resumption of its services will be fully restored on April 30. Union workers were protesting a series of appointments and promotions by company management. Moreover, DDD further announced an increase in bus services for southern routes, including Ziguinchor, Kedougou, and Kolda due to increased passenger demand.
Public transportation disruptions remain possible. Striking workers may stage additional work stoppage actions or hold demonstrations.
