Police are continuing their response to a security incident in Zofingen and Strengelbach in Aargau Canton as of the evening of May 15. According to authorities, an unidentified individual began stabbing passers-by causing an unspecified number of injuries. Although officers have apprehended the suspect, police are advising the public to avoid the the Zofingen Education Center (BZZ) and Trinermatte sports field areas; the Güterstrasse - Strengelbacherstrasse railway station has been cordoned off. The motive for the attacks remains unclear.
