Spain: Argentine diaspora to protest visit of Argentine president to Madrid, June 21

Argentine groups to protest in central Madrid, Spain, June 21 to denounce Argentine President Javier Milei.

Informational

Argentine diaspora groups, including Argentina Soberana, plan to protest in central Madrid on June 21 to denounce the visit of Argentine President Javier Milei and call on Buenos Aires to release individuals arrested in recent anti-Milei protests. Participants will gather on the corner of Alcala Street and Puerta del Sol at 20:00. Previous related protests have gathered no more than several hundred attendees.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the protest area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the impact area on the evening of June 21. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
