Switzerland: Weather-related flight disruptions reported at Zurich Airport June 28

Thunderstorm prompts flight disruptions at Zurich Airport, Switzerland, June 28. Reconfirm flights.

Warning

An earlier thunderstorm has prompted flight disruptions at Zurich Airport (ZRH) on June 28. A risk of lightning strikes during the early hours of the morning repeatedly led to ground handling stops, which delayed outgoing flights, and led incoming flights to circle ZRH or divert to alternative airports. While ground handling appears to have resumed, delays to incoming and outgoing flights will likely persist until at least the late afternoon.

Confirm flight schedules if booked to travel via ZRH June 28. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed.
