Flight delays and cancellations will likely affect Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL, due to thunderstorms in the area. As of the evening of June 29, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a ground stop at Orlando International (MCO) Airport, effective until at least 22:00. Currently, MCO is experiencing departure delays averaging 1 hour and 32 minutes and increasing, while arrival delays for already airborne aircraft are averaging 32 minutes and decreasing.

The FAA may issue additional ground stops and/or ground delay programs for MCO and expand the programs to additional central Florida airports over the coming hours. The air traffic control measures could be extended, rescinded, or otherwise modified on short notice.

Confirm flight schedules if booked to fly via MCO through at least late June 29. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
