Austria: Activists to demonstrate in Vienna July 13
Climate activists to protest at Parliament in Vienna, Austria, from 16:00 July 13. Heightened security, transport disruptions likely.
Activists affiliated with the Last Generation climate movement plan to protest at the Austrian Parliament on Dr. Karl-Renner Ring from 16:00 July 13. It was not immediately clear how many participants may attend. A previous Last Generation demonstration in Vienna in May resulted in over 30 arrests and led to extensive traffic jams.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or frustrated motorists cannot be ruled out.
