Authorities have closed Debrecen International Airport (DEB) in Debrecen as of July 12 due to damage to the runway, which was discovered at 18:00 July 11. According to officials, the repair may take at least one week, depending on weather conditions. Flights bound for DEB were reportedly diverted to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (DEB) evening of July 11.

Lingering disruptions are possible once the airport resumes operations and officials work to clear a backlog of flights.
