Further protests, heightened security, and related disruptions are likely in multiple provinces through early July following a June 30 unrest in Kayseri. Protests erupted in various areas, including Danisment Gazi, Melikgazi, Osmanli, and Selcuklu June 30 after a Syrian national allegedly harassed a minor. The incidents left 10 police officers injured, as well as several vehicles and retail spaces damaged.

Additional anti-Syrian protests took place across multiple provinces July 1-early July 2. Protesters staged street marches and attacked individuals and businesses allegedly belonging to Syrians. Unrest has been reported in parts of Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Gaziantep, Hatay, Izmir, Kayseri, Kilis, and Konya provinces, as well as Istanbul. Authorities have reportedly implemented social media restrictions in Kayseri and other parts of southern Turkiye following the unrest.
