US: Boil water advisory lifted for Washington, DC, and adjoining areas as of July 4 /update 1

Officials lift boil water advisory for Washington, DC, US, and surrounding areas July 4.

Informational

Officials have lifted a boil water advisory for Washington, DC, and surrounding areas as of July 4. Authorities issued the advisory on July 3 for the District of Columbia, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), the Pentagon, and Arlington National Cemetery due to a drop in water supply from the Washington Aqueduct. Officials subsequently lifted the boil water advisory and asserted that all customers under the advisory "can use tap water for all purposes" after confirming that the quality of drinking water supplied by the Washington Aqueduct never fell below US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
