Western Europe: Activists to demonstrate across region, July 28
Activists to protest in major cities across Western Europe on July 28 in observance of the Venezuelan election.
Members and supporters of the Venezuelan diaspora plan to protest in twelve cities across Western Europe on July 28. The demonstrations are meant to coincide with the Venezuelan elections taking place on the same day. The following demonstrations are planned:
Berlin: Luetzowplatz-Park from 12:00.
Bern: Liebefeld Park from 11:00.
Bilbao: Plaza Venezuela from 20:00.
Brussels: Parc Bois de la Cambre/Ter Kamerenbos from 12:00.
Dresden: Theaterplatz from 14:00.
The Hague: Churchillplein from 13:00.
Madrid: Plaza de Colon from 20:00.
Malaga: Plaza de la Marina from 17:00.
Milan: Piazza Costella from 19:00.
Paris: Intersection of Avenue Kleber and Rue Copernic from 17:00.
Rome: BioParco entrance on Villa Borghese 11:00-18:00.
Rome: Piazzale Flaminio from 19:00.
Vigo: 198 Rua Urzaiz from 18:00.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near all protest sites. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or opposed individuals cannot be ruled out.
Avoid all protest areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near any protest sites. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
