Argentina: Protest, march scheduled in downtown Buenos Aires on Sept. 4

Retirees and members of multiple opposition organizations, including the Workers' Union of the Popular Economy (Union de Trabajadores de la Economia Popular, UTEP), plan to hold a protest and march in downtown Buenos Aires on Sept. 4. The action is to oppose President Javier Milei's recent veto of a bill to increase pensions for retirees. Activists plan to gather outside the National Congress, starting at 15:00, and march to Plaza de Mayo, where a rally will occur.
