Authorities to close part of N3 highway for roadworks in Westville area near Durban, South Africa, from 18:00 Aug. 24 to 04:00 Aug. 26.

Informational

The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) has announced it will close parts of the N3 highway in Westville from 18:00 Aug. 24 to 04:00 Aug. 26. This is to facilitate the demolition of the Rockdale Avenue Bridge and roadworks that have been ongoing in the area. The N3 will be closed in both directions between the N2/EB Cloete interchange and the Saint James Avenue interchange. The N2 will not be closed. The closure period is subject to change at short notice.

Disruptions from increased traffic are likely to affect the nearby N2 and may linger in the hours following the closure. Localized transport disruptions and freight delays from increased congestion are likely for the duration of the closure.

Plan for transport disruptions and delays if traveling near Westville and Durban during the affected period. Consider seeking alternative routes. Heed the instructions of officials.
