Spain: Vox party calls for protest outside Parliament of Catalonia, Barcelona, Aug. 8

The Vox party will lead a protest outside the Parliament of Catalonia in downtown Barcelona from 09:30 on Aug. 8. The party will denounce the return of former Catalonian president Carles Puigdemont, who fled Spain amid allegations of embezzlement following the Catalonian independence referendum. Although attendance levels are unclear, previous Vox demonstrations in the city have drawn several hundred participants. The protest is scheduled to take place during the inauguration of the new regional leader.
