BiH: Court orders teachers to end strike in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Sept. 6 /update 1
Unionized teachers to end strike in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sept. 6. Residual disruptions possible.
Unionized teachers will end their strike across Herzegovina-Neretva Canton following a Sept. 6 court ruling that found the labor action to be illegal. The purpose of the labor action, which had begun two days earlier, had been to demand improved salary increases and one-time bonuses, among other concessions. Classes will resume across the canton on Sept. 9. Some residual transport and business disruptions are possible if participating teachers assemble to protest the decision.
