Authorities are increasing security measures at Maksimir Stadium due to the GNK Dinamo and HNK Hajduk football match, scheduled to occur from 20:00 Sept. 13. Authorities will increase the presence of law enforcement officers in the area around the stadium and close the area to road traffic from 18:00. The measures are taken due to violent clashes that occurred between the two teams' fan bases in previous occasions.
Increased security will likely last through early Sept. 14; road travel and transpor disruptions are almost certain in the vicinity of the stadium. Clashes are possible between fan bases, as well as between fans and law enforcement officers.
